UAE expats can now buy land at Dubai World Central (DWC), Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced.
The resolution grants expats the right to absolute ownership, with no time frame, of land and property in DWC plots 205, 206 and 207. It also gives owners the right to lease property on these plots for up to 99 years.
It was made to support Dubai Aviation City’s objectives to grow the aviation sector in Dubai, said a statement by state news agency WAM.
“It seeks to promote Dubai as a destination of choice for event organisers in aviation-related sectors,” said the statement “The decision also aims to attract further investments to the City, and provide an investment-friendly environment.”
